Oregon City is the Clackamas County seat, so many of the documents we see from here come from the circuit court: divorce decrees, name change orders, adoption decrees and probate papers. Pac Signing Notary checks that each court document is certified the way the state requires, then files it for the apostille. The fee is $195 for the first Oregon document. See our full Oregon apostille service.
| Document | Typical use abroad |
|---|---|
| Divorce decree or judgment | Remarrying in another country |
| Name change order | Matching a passport or foreign ID to other records |
| Adoption decree | Citizenship or registration for an adopted child |
| Letters testamentary and probate orders | Claiming or selling inherited property overseas |
| Guardianship or custody order | Travel, schooling or residency for a child |
The Oregon Secretary of State will only apostille a circuit court document that shows three things: the court official’s signature, their printed name, and their title. A plain photocopy of a judgment, or a copy printed from an online case search, will be rejected.
Vital records are different. A divorce record from Oregon Vital Records and a divorce decree from the court are two separate documents, and the country asking will usually say which one it wants.
| Document | First document | Each additional |
|---|---|---|
| Oregon documents | $195 | $20 |
| Documents from another state | $195 | $65, from the same state |
| FBI background check with apostille | $295 |
