We don’t travel to California. We help people in the Portland area and SW Washington who need to sign California paperwork here: a deed for property back home, a trust amendment, or an affidavit for a California court.
Generally yes. The notarization happens under Oregon law, where you sign, and other states recognize it. The one thing to check is the certificate wording. Some California forms come with California-specific wording, and if it doesn’t fit an Oregon notarization we attach an Oregon certificate instead. Ask the person who sent you the document whether that is acceptable.
A notarized document signed here gets its apostille from the Oregon Secretary of State. A California-issued record, such as a California birth certificate, needs its apostille from the California Secretary of State. We can coordinate either.
$10 per notarial act in our offices, or a mobile visit from $70.
