How a college diploma gets apostilled

The state does not apostille a diploma directly. It apostilles a notarized signature of a school official.

  1. Contact the registrar. Ask for a certified copy of your diploma and an official transcript, signed by a school official, for apostille use.
  2. The signature is notarized. Some registrars have a notary on staff. If yours does not, we arrange the notarization.
  3. We file with the Oregon Secretary of State.
  4. You receive the apostilled documents, ready to send to the employer, school or consulate.

Do not send your original framed diploma. A certified copy from the registrar is what gets apostilled. More detail: how to apostille a diploma.
