Anyone applying for Canadian permanent residence who has lived in the United States needs a police certificate from the FBI. Tigard applicants can have fingerprints taken at our Lake Oswego or Beaverton office and receive the FBI report within 30 minutes to 24 hours for $135.
The same FBI report serves as the U.S. police certificate for immigration to other countries, including Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Many of them do ask for an apostille. See FBI background check with apostille.
